Position Summary:
UniSea is seeking a friendly server and bartender at our Harbor View Bar & Grill located in Dutch Habor, Alaska. This position requires attending to serving needs for the restaurant and making alcoholic beverages for guests in a courteous, efficient, expedient and accurate manner. This position is a seasonal 6 month contract.
Essential Duties
- Take food and beverage orders from customers, using an electronic point of sale/register system, and present orders to kitchen/lounge staff to prepare. Serve food and beverage orders to customers.
- Prepare beverages, including alcoholic beverages, for customers at the bar and fill server orders according to specifications in an efficient and courteous manner.
- Clear and set tables according to instruction.
- Collect payment for drinks from both guests.
- Ensure accuracy of all required paperwork and deposits, to confirm all food and beverage orders are recorded correctly, and all control measures are observed.
- Maintain strict compliance with all Alaska State regulations and company policies regarding alcohol service, as well as all safety and health laws and codes.
- Monitor and regulate consumption of alcohol and display sound judgment as to when to stop service.
- Maintain cleanliness of bar and dining room areas at all times.
- Complete all assigned side work.
- Assist in monthly inventories.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Must be TIPS certified to sell alcohol.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 1-3 years of bartending and food and beverage service experience in a fast-paced environment, including cash handling.
- Must be at least 21 years of age or olde.
- Possess or acquire Alaska Training for Alcohol Professional (TAP) card and Alaska State Food Worker Card within 30 days of employment.
- Knowledge of Point of Sale (POS) systems preferred.

Benefits and Pay Information:
This position is a seasonal non-exempt position with a contract that does not exceed 6 moths. The wage is $15 per hour + tips. Travel to Dutch Habor, Alaska from Seattle or Anchorage is provided. Dormitory style housing is provided with a small room and board fee.
