Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide expert recommendations on food and beverage options.
- Take accurate orders using POS systems .
- Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring proper presentation and quality.
- Process sales transactions efficiently while handling cash, credit cards, and other payment methods with precision.
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities through friendly suggestions.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in all service areas, including food handling and beverage stations.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of orders and address guest needs proactively.
Skills
- Proven experience in food service or restaurant environments, especially in fine dining or high-volume settings.
- Strong knowledge of POS systems .
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to build rapport and handle guest inquiries professionally.
- Culinary experience or food preparation knowledge is a plus for understanding menu components.
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced setting while multitasking seamlessly.
- Knowledge of beverage service techniques.
- Basic math skills for processing payments accurately and managing tabs efficiently.
