Join our dynamic team as a Part Time Cleaner in Hopkinton, where your dedication to cleanliness and maintenance will keep our facilities safe, hygienic, and welcoming. Our job is Monday through Friday no weekends, Our job begins at 6:30 pm and ends at 10:30 pm. It is 4 hours a night, 5 days a week, so it is 20 hours a week total.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of designated areas including floors, restrooms, offices, and common spaces using appropriate cleaning agents and equipment.
- Handle chemical agents safely, following all safety protocols and handling procedures to ensure a secure work environment.
- Assist with light maintenance tasks such as minor repairs, painting touch-ups, and general upkeep of facilities.
- Lift and move heavy cleaning supplies or equipment using safe lifting practices to ensure efficiency and safety.
- Conduct routine inspections of the premises to identify areas needing attention or additional cleaning.
- Maintain detailed logs of cleaning activities, supplies used, and any maintenance issues observed for reporting purposes.
Skills
- Proven experience in cleaning, janitorial work, or custodial services with knowledge of commercial or industrial cleaning techniques.
- Familiarity with handling chemical agents safely and understanding proper manual handling procedures.
- Ability to operate floor buffers, scrubbers, and other custodial equipment effectively.
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to perform heavy lifting while adhering to safe lifting practices.
- Experience in facilities maintenance or Porter roles is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of basic painting techniques for residential or light industrial projects is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to follow safety guidelines consistently.
