Position: Warehouse Front Desk
Schedule: 12-hour rotating shifts
Pay:
- 2nd Shift: 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM — $20.00/hour
Position Overview
We are seeking a professional, dependable, and customer-service-oriented
Front Desk to work at the entrance of a warehouse facility near 55th Avenue & Van Buren.
Key Responsibilities
- Staff the warehouse front entrance and maintain a professional, welcoming presence.
- Greet employees, visitors, vendors, and contractors in a courteous and professional manner.
- Check employees and visitors in and out of the facility.
- Verify identification, badges, appointments, and access authorization according to company procedures.
- Maintain accurate visitor and entry/exit logs.
- Issue and collect visitor badges or temporary access credentials as required.
- Answer incoming calls and direct calls to the appropriate department or employee.
- Provide basic information and directions to visitors and vendors.
- Notify warehouse management when visitors or vendors arrive.
- Coordinate with warehouse personnel regarding scheduled visitors, deliveries, and contractors.
- Monitor the front desk area and report maintenance, safety, or facility concerns to management.
- Assist with basic administrative and front-desk tasks.
- Maintain confidentiality regarding employees, visitors, company operations, and facility information.
- Communicate professionally with employees, visitors, vendors, and management.
- Follow established company procedures for visitor access and front-desk operations.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk area.
- Document unusual front-desk issues or access-related concerns for management.
- Perform other reasonable front-desk and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous front desk, receptionist, customer service, warehouse, administrative, or access-control experience is preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Professional appearance and courteous demeanor.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, visitors, vendors, and management.
- Basic computer skills and ability to maintain electronic or written records.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to stand or sit for extended periods.
- Must be able to work 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as scheduled.
