Responsibilities
- Engage in outside sales efforts to identify and connect with potential clients, expanding the agency’s reach within the community.
- Conduct detailed needs analysis to recommend appropriate commercial insurance policies, including property casualty, health insurance, and other business coverage options.
- Negotiate policy terms and premiums with clients and insurance providers to secure optimal coverage solutions.
- Manage sales administration tasks such as quoting, policy documentation, and maintaining accurate client records.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries, explaining policy details clearly, and assisting with claims or policy adjustments.
- Stay informed about industry regulations, insurance laws, and market trends to ensure compliance and offer up-to-date advice.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to develop strategies that attract new clients through telemarketing, community outreach, or digital campaigns.
Skills
- Proven experience in outside sales, retail sales, or telemarketing with a focus on insurance products.
- Strong negotiation skills to close deals effectively while ensuring client satisfaction.
- Excellent communication skills in multiple languages or bilingual proficiency is highly desirable for serving diverse client bases.
- Solid analysis skills to assess client needs and recommend suitable insurance solutions.
- Knowledge of commercial insurance policies, property casualty coverage, health insurance regulations (including HIPAA), and benefits administration.
