Job Summary
We are seeking an energetic and personable Host to create a welcoming atmosphere for our guests and ensure smooth restaurant operations. As the first point of contact, you will manage guest arrivals, reservations, and seating arrangements while providing exceptional customer service. Duties
- Greet guests with a friendly and positive attitude, making them feel valued from the moment they arrive
- Manage restaurant reservation systems and walk-in seating to optimize table utilization
- Coordinate with the dining staff to ensure timely seating and guest flow
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism, providing accurate information about wait times, reservations, and restaurant policies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand area and waiting list logs
- Use restaurant table management systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to track seating arrangements and reservations
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
- Support food safety practices by ensuring proper handling of menus, reservation forms, and guest materials
Experience
- Previous experience as a host or hostess in a restaurant or food service environment is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively via phone and in person
- Familiarity with restaurant reservation management software and POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Demonstrated organizational skills to manage multiple tables, reservations, and guest requests efficiently
- Basic math skills for handling waitlist calculations, table counts, and billing support when needed
- Knowledge of food safety standards and hospitality best practices
- Experience in guest services or hospitality roles that require excellent communication skills and positive attitude
