Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and specialty drinks with precision and flair
- Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS to process transactions accurately and efficiently
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and perform cash handling duties with accuracy using POS systems
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and addressing guest needs
- Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and hygiene standards are met
- Assist in food preparation tasks such as assembling snacks or light meals while adhering to food industry regulations
Requirements
- Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is highly preferred
- Familiarity with POS systems like Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous
- Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards, proper food handling, and food preparation techniques
- Ability to stand for extended periods, lift moderate loads, and work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in the food industry or retail math is a plus but not required
