We are seeking an experienced HVAC Mechanical Project Manager to oversee a commercial hospital HVAC construction project in Syracuse, New York. This is an approximately six (6) month project with the potential for future opportunities based on performance and company needs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience managing large-scale mechanical projects in healthcare or commercial facilities and possess a City of Syracuse Class A Mechanical Contractor License (or otherwise meet all applicable licensing requirements). This individual will be responsible for ensuring the project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with all local, state, and healthcare regulations.
Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of the commercial HVAC mechanical project from preconstruction through closeout.
- Coordinate field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, and owners.
- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and procurement timelines.
- Review mechanical drawings, specifications, submittals, RFIs, and change orders.
- Ensure compliance with all City of Syracuse licensing requirements, building codes, OSHA regulations, and hospital standards.
- Attend project meetings and provide regular progress updates to owners, general contractors, and project stakeholders.
- Oversee quality control and ensure installations meet design specifications and industry standards.
- Coordinate equipment deliveries and material procurement.
- Resolve project issues while minimizing schedule impacts.
- Manage project documentation, permits, inspections, and project closeout.
- Support estimating and project planning as needed.
Qualifications
- Required: Valid City of Syracuse Class A Mechanical Contractor License (or ability to qualify under the City's licensing requirements).
- Minimum 5 years of commercial HVAC project management experience.
- Experience managing healthcare, hospital, or other complex commercial mechanical projects preferred.
- Strong understanding of HVAC systems, piping, ductwork, controls, and mechanical equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and project management software.
- OSHA 30 Certification preferred.

Pay: $100,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
