We are looking for an experienced Optometric Technician who will join us as an integral member of our team to bring the best vision care and improve the quality of patient lives. You will be part of a winning team of experienced Optometrists and use state-of-the art technology to provide excellent care for a diverse patient base. We are experienced professionals who have served our patient community for over 25 years. In addition, the practice offers three Bay Area locations (Fremont, Oakland, Pleasanton), custom full-service labs, high-quality eyewear brands, and advanced eyecare technology. Responsibilities
- Ensure high quality customer service.
- Ensure a smooth flow of customers through the store.
- Answer, screen, and forward incoming phone.
- Conduct accurate and timely pre-testing of patients.
- Process and understand managed care plans.
- Schedule and confirm appointments, follow-up visits and classes.
- File all patient records daily and pull patient files for the next day’s appointments.
- Keep store tidy and presentable according to company guidelines and policies.
- Prepare and maintain sales sheets and records in accounting/inventory application.
- Assist and maintain appropriate professional relations with the Optometrist, associates, and customers.
- Prefer bilingual (Chinese) but not mandatory
- Prefer medical or optical reception experience
Experience Requirements
· Exceptional and professional customer service skills who can build good rapport and provide a positive experience with our patients
· An excellent communicator with the ability to interact effectively with our patients and and doctor, with a cheerful attitude and a great work ethic
· A dedicated team player who can multitask and work in a fast paced environment
· Attention to detail with basic math skills, familiarity with common office applications, and being organized and precise with your work
· knowledge of vision plans and medical insurances
· High school diploma or GED. AA degrees or above preferred
· 1+ years experience or training in optometry, optical, and/or other medical practices (Preferred)

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
