Duties
- Develop and execute innovative lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards, including literacy, math, physical education, and Montessori methodologies.
- Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment that promotes curiosity, independence, and positive behavior management.
- Monitor and support each child's individual developmental progress.
- Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to share insights on their child's growth, address concerns, and foster collaborative relationships.
- Organize classroom routines that incorporate toddler care practices and early intervention strategies.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in preschool or early childhood education settings; prior classroom management experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, curriculum development, behavior management techniques, and special education needs.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training in child welfare is highly valued.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.
- Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches such as toddler care or early intervention programs.
- Ability to plan engaging lessons that incorporate literacy education, math concepts, physical activity, and social-emotional learning.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws and best practices in childcare safety standards.
Pay: From $15.00 per hour
