Position Overview
Commerce Distribution Centers is seeking a professional, safety-focused CDL-A Shuttle Driver to support our growing temperature-controlled transportation network. This position operates locally within the Detroit Metropolitan area, providing consistent freight, competitive earnings, and the benefit of daily home time.
Start times are typically in the late afternoon or early evening, with some flexibility available.
Our temperature-controlled fleet serves food-grade customers with refrigerated, frozen, and ambient freight while maintaining the highest standards of safety, service, and professionalism.

Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle in compliance with all DOT and FMCSA regulations.
- Transport temperature-sensitive freight while maintaining required temperature specifications.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and required documentation.
- Ensure accurate and timely pickup and delivery of customer shipments.
- Maintain electronic logs and required transportation records.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and operations personnel.
- Deliver exceptional customer service while representing the company professionally.
- Adhere to all company safety, food safety, and security policies.
Qualifications
Required
- Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL-A)
- Minimum age of 21 years
- Acceptable motor vehicle record
- Ability to pass DOT drug screen and physical
- Strong commitment to safety and customer service
- Stable work history
Preferred
- Six (6) months or more of CDL-A driving experience
- Temperature-controlled or food-grade transportation experience
