Position Summary:
At Waters Edge Event Center, every couple deserves to walk into a venue that feels like it was prepared just for them.
Our venue reset team members are responsible for restoring Waters Edge following weddings and special events with one simple goal:
Make it look like it didn’t happen.
After hundreds of guests have celebrated, danced, dined, and enjoyed the property, our Reset Team goes to work returning the venue to an exceptional standard of cleanliness, organization, freshness, and presentation.
This isn't just about cleaning up after an event. It's about preparing the space for the next deserving couple and making sure their first impression is every bit as special as the couple before them.
What You'll Do:
As a member of the Venue Reset Team, responsibilities may include:
- Thoroughly cleaning and resetting event spaces following weddings and special events
- Cleaning tables, chairs, floors, restrooms, common areas, and other venue spaces
- Removing trash and ensuring waste areas are clean and organized
- Returning tables, chairs, décor, equipment, and venue items to their proper locations
- Restocking supplies and preparing guest-facing areas for the next event
- Identifying spills, stains, damage, missing items, or maintenance concerns
- Keeping storage and back-of-house areas clean and organized
- Paying attention to the small details that make the venue feel fresh, polished, and untouched
- Working alongside other Reset Team Members to efficiently turn the property for its next event
The Standard: "Make It Look Like It Didn't Happen"
A successful reset means the next couple should never be able to tell that hundreds of people celebrated in the same space just hours or days before.
Chairs are straight. Floors are clean. Restrooms are fresh. Supplies are stocked. Storage areas are organized. Trash is gone. Everything is back where it belongs.
The venue is ready to do it all over again.
We're looking for people who take pride in that standard.
Schedule:
This is a flexible, part-time position averaging approximately 10 hours per week.
Reset work is most commonly completed on Sundays or Mondays, with the team coordinating schedules based on availability.
Occasionally, Waters Edge hosts back-to-back weddings. In those situations, Reset Team Members may be scheduled late Friday night following an event so the venue can be completely refreshed and ready for Saturday's couple.
Because of the nature of events, exact hours may vary from week to week.
Compensation
$20.00 per hour
Approximately 10 hours per week of consistent part-time work, depending on the event schedule.
This position is a great fit for someone who:
- Takes pride in exceptionally clean and organized spaces
- Notices details others may overlook
- Is dependable and follows through
- Can work efficiently without sacrificing quality
- Enjoys hands-on work and seeing an immediate result
- Can work independently while also contributing to a team
- Is comfortable with physical work, including standing, bending, lifting, moving tables/chairs, and cleaning
- Has flexibility for occasional evening or late-night resets
- Understands that weddings are incredibly important days — and treats the venue accordingly
