American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Post Partum position requiring prior travel experience and High Risk Obstetric care background.

Work in a large volume, high census Mother-Baby/Couplet Care/Postpartum unit
-
Care for a diverse High Risk Obstetric patient population following delivery
-
Standard patient assignment of 4 couplets
-
Day shift schedule (3x12 hours, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM)

Required to work 6 weekend days per contract
-
Floating required to Issaquah Campus Postpartum, Edmonds Campus Postpartum, and Labor and Delivery for the second hour of recovery

Uses Epic EMR system
-
Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission
-
Current BLS and NRP certifications required
-
Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
-
Prior travel nursing experience required
-
High Risk Obstetric care experience required
-
Experience with Magnesium Sulfate therapy required
-
Epic EMR experience required (hard stop requirement)
-
Experience with Pitocin (oxytocin) administration required
-
Experience with Foley catheter care required
-
Experience managing postpartum hemorrhage required
-
Experience with substance withdrawal care required
-
JADA experience preferred
-
Skills in postpartum care following Cesarean section and vaginal delivery required
-
Skills in episiotomy/incision care, and fundus/lochia/perineum care required
-
Provide comprehensive postpartum care including medication administration, hemorrhage management, and newborn couplet care
-
Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)

Travelers must be flexible to float between sister facilities within the system

Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate, though local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate

First-time travelers are not accepted for this position

Former permanent staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 3 months before returning as a traveler

Two supervisory references covering at least 1 year of employment within the last 3 years are required, and may include Charge RNs or Leads
-
