Responsibilities
- Provide attentive, loving care to cats, including feeding, administering medications, and monitoring their health status
- Maintain a clean and organized environment by cleaning rooms, litter boxes, and common areas regularly
- Observe cats closely for signs of illness or distress and communicate findings to management or pet owners promptly
- Assist with pet sitting services by ensuring cats are comfortable and engaged during their stay
- Engage with pet owners professionally, offering updates on their cats’ well-being and answering questions about care routines
- Position also requires the ability to multi task and may require front desk work, including but not limited to answering the phone, contacting vet offices, learning a new software booking system.
Requirements
- Ability to consistently arrive on time and be reliable when committing to assigned shifts
- Strong attendance history and work ethic with references required
- Prior experience in animal handling, pet care, or kennel work is highly preferred, a passion for animals is essential
- Knowledge of veterinary procedures or veterinary technician/assistant experience is a plus
- Familiarity with pet grooming, pet sitting, and animal restraint techniques
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for cleaning supplies or equipment setup
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information responsibly
