Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and cooking, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including chopping vegetables, portioning meat, and preparing sauces.
- Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.
- Maintain a clean and orderly kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash, etc.
- Follow recipes and presentation specifications as set by the restaurant.
- Operate standard kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
- Adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards.
- Assist with inventory management and notify the kitchen manager of any shortages.
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure customer satisfaction and quality service.
- Perform other kitchen duties as assigned. Requirements:
- Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or similar role.
- Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Time management abilities.
- High school diploma or equivalent; culinary school training is a plus.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds. Benefits:
