WHY VEIR?
Founded in 2019 and headquartered in Woburn, Massachusetts, VEIR is a U.S.-based designer and manufacturer of category-defining superconducting power delivery systems built for the extreme energy demands of the AI era. By commercializing next-generation superconducting technology into deployable, real-world systems, VEIR delivers ~10× higher power density than conventional options, enabling "speed-to-power" where incremental optimization falls short. VEIR's initial focus is AI data centers behind the meter, with solutions engineered for repeatable deployment through reference designs and integrated controls, designed to incorporate learnings as deployments scale.
The Role
As VEIR prepares for scale, a robust and efficient procurement infrastructure is essential to support production timelines, manage costs, and grow effectively. To support this transformation, VEIR is seeking a Buyer to own all non-project-related procurement activity, relieving the current Procurement Specialist/Planner to focus on project-driven sourcing.
This role is primarily responsible for supporting Product Engineering and operational purchases that keep development timelines on track, ensuring on-time delivery of materials needed for validation and testing. The Buyer will play a hands-on role executing day-to-day purchasing activity, primarily using Procurify.
This is a 6-month contract position with potential for extension/conversion to full time at the end of the contract, based on business needs. We are open to hybrid/remote working for someone within a commutable distance.
