Job Description: Kitchen/Housekeeping/Facilities Staff
Reports to: Hospitality Manager
Capacity: Hourly position, weekends required
Job Summary: Responsible, dependable, and courteous individuals who will ask clarifying questions and observe practices in each aspect of their job. Must be willing to listen and follow directions. Work in kitchen, housekeeping, and facilities environments as needed and as determined by supervisors.

Key Responsibilities
- Kitchen responsibilities:
- Use dishwashing equipment properly to clean dishes.
- Clean and sanitize all prepped stations and sinks.
- Empty all trash and replace liners.
- Sweep the kitchen and dining room floors after every meal and mop them daily.
- Set up the dish station, machine, and sink in preparation for meals.
- Restock all cleaning supplies as needed.
- Restock and put away food in accordance with food safety guidelines.
- Clean and sanitize the dining hall bathrooms and the staff bathroom.
- Wipe down dining hall tables and chairs as needed.
- Restock and wipe down salt, pepper, and napkin holders.
- Serve food to guests as directed.
- Help keep the kitchen organized, clean, and sanitized.
- Follow food safety standards.
- Work behind the scenes to prep ingredients- peeling, cutting, and portioning.
- Mix or prepare condiments, dressings, and sauces.
- Prepare simple dishes by following a recipe or directions.
- Prepare the salad bar for meals.
- Housekeeping responsibilities:
- Clean rooms/cabins:
- Vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping floors. Removing all trash and replacing liners. Vacuuming, spraying, and wiping down all beds/mattresses. Dust all surfaces and remove spider webs as needed. Remove items left behind and give them to the supervisor. Sweep front entrances to the rooms.
- Cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms:
- Wipe down all paper towel dispensers and soap dispensers with disinfectant, and restock paper towels, toilet paper, and soap. Clean mirrors. Sweep and mop floors. Clean and sanitize all showers and bathtubs.
- Stocking:
- Keep the linen and cleaning supply room stocked and cleaned. Restock cleaning supplies and equipment. Report any needs to the supervisor.
- Repairing:
- Notify managers of necessary repairs and report any damage.
- Assisting Guests:
- Communicate with and help guests as needed.
- Other Duties:
- Work in other areas of camp as needed and directed by supervisor. This could include:
- Facilities:
- Performing general cleaning and upkeep of buildings and grounds.
- Empty trash and replace liners throughout the camp facility.
- Deliver supplies for programming needs (i.e. water jugs at identified places, firewood to campfire locations, tables/chairs, etc.).
- Pre-set campfires in identified locations.
- Participate in ongoing pest control, including, but not limited to, setting traps, spraying, web removal, and pest removal.
- Any other duty deemed necessary to aid in the general safety and needs of the camp facility and grounds.
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- Work permit from school, High School diploma, or GED
- Hospitality or kitchen experience preferred
- Must have or obtain a current food handler’s card and other certification as required by federal/state/local law.

Pay: $19.00 - $20.00 per hour
