Duane R. Dornheim (DRD) Transitional Living Facility is seeking a Residential Direct Care Associate for Adults in Grand Forks, ND.
This is an ongoing temporary position working 16 - 24 hours per week.
- Shifts may include Evenings, Nights, Weekends, and Holidays.
Be part of the solution to the behavioral health crisis. As a team member for ND Department of Health & Human Services, you will ensure the most vulnerable have access to a high quality healthcare system in which prevention works, treatment is effective, and people recover.
As a Direct Care Associate III working with adults in a residential setting, you will provide positive mentoring and guidance to individuals impacted by behavioral health disorders. You will serve as a role model, exhibiting a positive and respectful approach in all interactions. You will teach daily living activities, including household tasks, hygiene task, effective communication, and socialization with the goal of helping those you serve increase their independence.
An important part of this position is assisting the individuals articulate their goals and what is important for them. You will teach self advocacy and self help strategies to assist them in reaching their goals.
You will thrive in this position if you have a passion for teaching individuals life skills and how to overcome barriers that may be present in their lives.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have a high school diploma or GED; and two years of work experience providing direct care to special populations.

Direct Care Associate II, which requires a high school diploma or GED - (CNA Training pending location).
This position requires a valid driver's license and successful completion of the assigned defensive driving course during new hire orientation.

This position provides essential client services face to face and therefore the person in this position needs to be on site at Duane R. Dornheim (DRD) Transitional Living Facility.
