We’re looking for supportive, reliable, and creative individuals who are ready to make a difference. This role is ideal for students or recent grads in Social Work, Education, Psychology, or related fields—as well as anyone interested in a rewarding career serving a diverse and vibrant community.
As an Independent Living Instructor, you’ll provide one-on-one support to clients in their homes and communities, helping them build essential life skills such as:
+Budgeting and money management
+Scheduling and attending medical and dental appointments
+Meal planning and basic cooking
+Using public transportation
+Navigating housing options
+Maintaining Social Security, MediCal, Medicare, and other benefits
+Practicing household safety and upkeep
+Building healthy relationships and community awareness
+Must be 21+ years old
+Clear Live Scan (background check)
+Valid CA driver’s license & clean DMV record
+Reliable car, current insurance, and willingness to drive (mileage reimbursed)
+Legal eligibility to work in the U.S.
+Verifiable references
+Competitive pay: $26.25 – $30.00/hour to start (DOE)
+Flexible hours (Monday–Friday 8am–8pm, some weekend hours available)
