Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Head Housekeeper to lead and manage our housekeeping team. Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping activities, including cleaning, laundry, and custodial tasks across all areas of the property.
- Lead, motivate, and train housekeeping staff to uphold quality standards and promote a positive team environment.
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures that maximize efficiency while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies, linens, and equipment; place orders as needed to maintain operational readiness.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public spaces, and back-of-house areas to ensure cleanliness standards are consistently met or exceeded.
- Manage guest requests related to housekeeping services promptly and professionally, resolving issues to enhance guest satisfaction.
- Collaborate with management to develop budgets, set performance goals, and implement process improvements for housekeeping operations.
Qualifications
- Proven supervising experience in housekeeping or janitorial services within a hospitality or commercial setting.
- Strong management skills with the ability to lead, motivate, and develop a diverse team.
- Extensive knowledge of cleaning techniques, laundry processes, custodial procedures, and safety protocols.
- Previous hotel or hospitality experience is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership in managing inventories, scheduling staff, and overseeing quality control measures.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to train staff effectively and interact professionally with guests and management.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including standing for long periods, lifting heavy items, and performing detailed cleaning duties.
