American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Labor & Delivery position at an acute care hospital in Vermont, requiring a VT or compact RN license and advanced fetal monitoring certification.

Acute care hospital setting with a dedicated Labor & Delivery unit consisting of 7 total rooms plus a nursery, licensed for 11 bassinets and 9 maternity beds, with overflow rooms available adjacent to the unit

61-bed facility operating as a Level One Nursery; higher-risk births are transferred to a tertiary center

RN responsibilities include antepartum and postpartum care in addition to labor and delivery

RN is required to scrub to receive the neonate from the sterile field during C-sections, but is not required to scrub or circulate otherwise

Staffing ratios follow AWHONN guidelines

Charting performed in Cerner

13-week contract with a night shift schedule of 3x12-hour shifts per week

Active VT or compact RN license required

Minimum 2 years of L&D nursing experience required

Required certifications: BLS, NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), and Advanced Fetal Monitoring

COVID vaccine and booster required; no exemptions accepted

Provide labor, delivery, antepartum, and postpartum nursing care within a collaborative L&D team environment
