Qualifications & Experience:
- Specialist-level degree or higher in School Psychology from an accredited institution
- Valid state licensure or eligibility to obtain licensure as a School Psychologist
- Proven experience providing assessments, counseling, and consultation in a school setting
- Strong communication skills with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and educators
- Ability to develop and implement behavior management and academic intervention strategies
- Familiarity with IDEA, Section 504, and other federal and state regulations
- Collaborative spirit and flexible approach to supporting team initiatives
Responsibilities:
- Conduct psychological and academic assessments to determine eligibility for special education services
- Provide one-on-one and group counseling to students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges
- Support the development and implementation of IEPs and 504 plans, working closely with multidisciplinary teams
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to address students’ behavioral and learning needs
- Offer crisis intervention, prevention, and response services as needed
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in compliance with school and legal requirements
