Job description:
As a Production Employee, you will be responsible for constructing, assembling, glazing, and finishing various types of doors to meet our high standards of quality and craftsmanship. You will work closely with our production team to ensure that each door meets the specifications and requirements of our clients.
Job Duties:
- Door Construction: Build and assemble aluminum door systems and frames according to blueprints, production drawings, and specifications. Ensure accurate dimensions and proper component fit.
- Material Preparation: Prepare aluminum materials for fabrication, including cutting, deburring, sanding, masking, and surface preparation prior to finishing or assembly.
- Door Glazing: Install and secure glass into door frames, including insulated glass units, tempered glass, and specialty glazing materials. Apply glazing compounds, gaskets, or sealants as required to ensure proper fit, weather resistance, and safety compliance. Handle glass carefully to prevent damage and ensure quality installation.
- Quality Control: Inspect doors, glazing, and panels for defects such as blemishes, improper glass installation, uneven coating, or imperfections. Make necessary adjustments to ensure each product meets quality standards.
- Tool and Equipment Operation: Safely operate equipment used in aluminum fabrication, glass handling, and door assembly. Perform basic maintenance and report equipment issues.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, including proper handling of materials and glass, to maintain a safe working environment.
- Maintenance and Organization: Keep work areas and equipment clean and organized. Perform routine maintenance on tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Job Qualifications
- Experience: Proven experience in door building, glass glazing, panel assembly, finishing, or related carpentry/manufacturing work is preferred. Familiarity with various door types, glass assembly techniques, coatings, and materials is a plus.
- Skills: Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and production equipment related to door construction and panel assembly. Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Knowledge: Understanding of safety regulations, quality standards, and finishing processes related to door construction.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and carry heavy materials, stand for extended periods, and perform tasks requiring manual dexterity, precision, and consistent quality.
