Duties
- Assist in managing leasing processes, including lease or rental agreement management and tenant onboarding
- Support property maintenance coordination to ensure timely repairs and upkeep of the community
- Utilize property management tools such as Yardi and OneSite to update records, process rent payments, and generate reports
- Handle client communication with professionalism, addressing inquiries related to leasing, rent payments, or property policies
- Contribute to budgeting efforts by tracking expenses and assisting with financial documentation
- Ensure compliance with Fair Housing regulations, Landlord-Tenant law, LIHTC (Low-Income Housing Tax Credit), and Section 8 program requirements
- Support conflict management efforts by mediating tenant concerns and fostering positive community relations
- Maintain organized filing systems, data entry accuracy, and recordkeeping for legal documents and contracts
Skills
- Proficiency in property management software such as Yardi, OneSite, and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System)
- Strong knowledge of landlord-tenant law, Fair Housing regulations, and Section 8 housing programs
- Experience with real estate administrative tasks including lease management, contract negotiation, and data entry
- Excellent customer service skills combined with professional phone etiquette and client communication abilities
- Ability to manage conflict effectively while maintaining a positive community atmosphere
- Skilled in office administration including filing, recordkeeping, and using Microsoft Office applications
- Demonstrated team management capabilities with a focus on collaborative problem-solving and upselling opportunities
- Familiarity with property maintenance procedures and facilities management practices
