The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Accountant – AP & GL to take ownership of Accounts Payable operations while helping drive accuracy, scalability, and process excellence across our general ledger.
This is a highly visible role where you’ll go beyond traditional accounting—partnering across departments, improving systems, and helping build a best-in-class finance function in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
What You’ll Do
Own & Elevate Accounts Payable Operations
- Lead AP lifecycle across entities, ensuring efficient, scalable processes aligned with growth
- Process high-volume invoices (coding, approvals, 3-way match, payments)
- Maintain strong controls and ensure policy compliance while supporting operations and vendor relations
- Act as primary vendor contact, resolving issues and managing relationships
- Streamline workflows through automation to improve cycle time and cash flow
Drive General Ledger Accuracy & Month-End Close
- Prepare/review journal entries, accruals, and allocations with accuracy
- Perform account and bank reconciliations, resolving variances
- Own key components of month-end close across entities, meeting deadlines
- Maintain GL integrity through consistent standards and transaction review
Support Payroll & Regulatory Compliance
- Partner with HR to support payroll, including report review, GL reconciliation, and accurate entries
- Serve as backup for payroll processing to ensure continuity
- Oversee payroll payments, ensuring timeliness and compliance
- Manage 1099/W-9 documentation and year-end reporting readiness
Operate Across a Multi-Entity, High-Growth Environment
- Support accounting across entities, ensuring consistent and standardized processes
- Maintain audit-ready documentation and support audit schedules
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations
Enable Business Decisions Through Reporting & Insight
- Assist with monthly reporting, including variance analysis and insights
- Partner with Finance, Operations, and HR to align financial data with business activities
- Support dashboards and reporting tools to improve data visibility and decision-making
Lead Process Improvement & Scalable Growth Initiatives
- Evaluate and improve accounting processes to increase efficiency and scalability
- Drive automation and system enhancements across accounting platforms
- Support new site openings, acquisitions, and integrations with minimal disruption
- Act as a proactive problem-solver, helping build a modern, forward-thinking finance function
Pay: $70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
