Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Assistant to join our team. As a Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Bartenders and Servers, ensuring that the restaurant operates smoothly. Your responsibilities will include maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food and drink preparation, and providing excellent service to enhance the customer experience. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a passion for the food service industry.
Responsibilities
As a Assistant, you would be responsible for helping Bartenders and Servers provide efficient customer service. You’ll be responsible for maintaining stock, assisting during service and providing support.
- As the bartenders’ extra set of hands, your job as bar-back is to support anything and everything behind the bar
- You set the stage for service: setting & clearing tables, assisting servers and attending to customers' needs
- You’ll be responsible for maintaining stock, assisting during service and providing go-to support.
- Maintain cleanliness, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Clean/wipe down tables, counters, furniture, and tabletops.
- Handle drink spills and broken glassware
- Restock and replenish liquor, garnishes, and bar supplies
- Empty trash and refill ice wells
- Clear and reset tables
- Replenish utensils as necessary
- Refill water and iced tea glasses
- Support wait staff by assisting them with customer needs
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Required
- Outgoing and engaging personality
- Proactive at identifying and completing work needs
- Ability to assess station needs and act accordingly
- Great spoken and written communication
- Ability to follow directions and remain calm in a fast-paced environment.
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with cash handling procedures and POS systems is advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and food handling safety standards is a plus.
- Must have the ability to multi-task. Ability to work with little supervision.
