As the Donor Fund Compliance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that promise is fulfilled. Serving as a strategic partner to Foundation Accounting, Development, Hospital Finance, and organizational leaders, you will help maximize the impact donation funds across the health system. By improving visibility into available resources, strengthening fund governance, and educating stakeholders on how to access and utilize philanthropic funding, you'll help turn charitable giving into meaningful action.

What You Will Do
As the Donor Fund Compliance Specialist, you will serve as a key partner connecting Foundation Accounting, Development, Hospital Finance and operational leaders across Main Line Health System. You will help maximize the impact of philanthropic resources by improving fund visibility, strengthening governance processes, educating stakeholders, and ensuring donor funds are utilized responsibly and effectively.
This role combines financial analysis, stakeholder collaboration, process improvement, and donor stewardship to support donor funds across the health system responsibly.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary resource for internal teams regarding donor and special-purpose fund inquiries, helping stakeholders understand fund availability, eligibility, and appropriate use

Partner with Foundation Accounting, Development, and Hospital Finance to improve visibility into fund balances, activity, and utilization across the health system

Lead efforts to enhance and standardize the fund request and approval process, improving efficiency, consistency, and stakeholder experience

Develop and deliver training and educational resources/materials that empower leaders, physicians, and staff to confidently access available funding
- Identify underutilized funds and collaborate with stakeholders to align philanthropic resources with organizational priorities and emerging needs

Support reporting, dashboards, and analytics that improve transparency and inform strategic decision-making

Monitor fund utilization to ensure compliance with donor intent, organizational policies, and stewardship best practices
- Foster collaboration across Development, Foundation Accounting, Finance, Legal, Compliance, Supply Chain, and operational leadership teams to maximize the impact of philanthropic investments

What You Bring
Required:

Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Nonprofit Management or related field required

Seven (7)+ years of experience in accounting, finance, development operations, nonprofit administration, grants management, fund administration, or related field.

Strong analytic and financial management skills with ability to interpret and communicate complex information
- Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and stakeholder relationship management skills
Preferred:

Experience in nonprofit, healthcare, or philanthropic environments
- Knowledge of donor-restricted funds, stewardship practices, fund governance, or grants administration

Experience with Raiser's Edge, Sage, PeopleSoft, or similar financial and fundraising systems
- Experience developing reports, dashboards, educational materials, or process improvement initiatives
- Advanced degree or professional certification in accounting, finance, nonprofit management, or related discipline
