Overview
Join our dynamic team as a Commercial Driver's License (CDL) Driver and take charge of delivering essential goods and materials with energy and precision! In this role, you will operate pickup trucks with 40ft flatbed trailers—ensuring timely and safe deliveries across diverse routes. Your mechanical knowledge and driving expertise will be vital in handling different vehicle types, performing load and unload tasks, and maintaining the highest safety standards. Responsibilities
- Safely operate various commercial vehicles flatbeds to transport goods to designated locations.
- Load and unload cargo efficiently using manual lifting techniques and mechanical equipment when necessary.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure mechanical soundness and compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs of load & unload activities, route records, and incident reports.
- Follow all traffic laws and company policies to ensure safe driving practices on local and regional routes.
- Assist with vehicle maintenance or minor repairs based on mechanical knowledge to keep trucks in optimal condition.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, customers, and team members to coordinate deliveries and resolve any issues promptly.
Experience
- Proven experience as a commercial driver with a valid CDL license; experience with manual transmissions is preferred.
- Hands-on experience operating heavy-duty trucks such as dump trucks, flatbeds, tractor-trailers, or roll-off trucks.
- Demonstrated ability to load & unload cargo safely using heavy lifting techniques or mechanical aids.
- Strong mechanical knowledge for basic troubleshooting and vehicle maintenance tasks.
- Delivery driver experience in fast-paced environments with a focus on safety and efficiency.
- Familiarity with different truck types including front loader trucks, rear loader trucks, roll-off trucks, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers is highly desirable.
