Job Description
This is a remote position located in the Washington DC area and is a client facing role requiring rapport development. As a Business Analyst, you will provide support to a federal agency by analyzing information from multiple sources and developing effective policies, SOPs, job aids, and other guidance document types. Serves as the primary content developer and writer for a process/documentation development project. Must have familiarity with scientific research terminology and human subjects research.
Job Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Team and client subject matter experts (SMEs) to develop or update guidance documents where gaps have been identified.
- Conduct research on governing policies, regulations, and peer organization practices to inform content development.
- Prepare first drafts of guidance documents; collect and implement stakeholder comments; deliver polished final versions for vetting and approval.
- Develop multiple types of guidance documents including SOPs, Job Aids , FAQs, etc.
- Support rollout communications and publishing of finalized guidance documents.
- Provide editorial assistance and graphic support for in-progress documents.
- Develop resources (SOPs, job aids, standards) to support program transition and long-term sustainability.
- Provide other client support, as tasked.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree required
- Mimimum of 5 years of demonstrated experience in business analysis, technical writing, policy development, or a closely related field.
- Demonstrated experience drafting and editing federal agency guidance documents (policies, SOPs, job aids, fact sheets, or similar) strongly preferred
- Direct Experience with Federal government agencies and process improvment.
- Familiarity with NIH or HHS operational structures preferred.
- Experience organizing and managing Lean Six Sigma / process improvement projects.
- Intermediate to advanced proficiency with industry-standard word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software.

Additional information
Preferred candidates will be located within the Washington DC, Maryland, Northern Virginia (DMV) area. Travel to customer sites may be required, clients are in the DMV area. Travel to customer sites is not reimbursed for hybrid employees.
