Communications Specialist / Dispatcher
Job Summary
The Communications Specialist / Dispatcher at Anakeesta is responsible for coordinating and maintaining efficient communication between departments to ensure smooth daily operations across the park. This role involves monitoring radio channels, dispatching team members as needed, and responding promptly to operational, maintenance, and guest service requests. The Dispatcher serves as a central point of contact, ensuring timely resolution of issues while supporting safety protocols and enhancing the overall guest experience. Strong organizational skills, clear communication, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment are essential for success in this position. The Dispatcher is also responsible for coordination with all Emergency Services in the area for various emergencies.

Functional Skills & Abilities
Communicate effectively with guests and team members
Ability to learn and operate a Computer Aided Dispatch system (CAD)
Perform basic math functions accurately (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division)
Operate company vehicles when required (valid driver’s license required)
Follow instructions, retain information, and execute tasks reliably
Physical & Environmental Requirements
Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods (up to 13 hours), including navigating uneven terrain and stairs
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (with assistance) using proper safety techniques
Perform repetitive tasks involving hands, arms, and body movements
What You Need
Must be at last 18 years of age.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Proficient in basic computer applications, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.
Minimum typing speed of 40 words per minute required.
CPR and First Aid certification required, or willingness to obtain within one year of hire.
Must be able to successfully pass pre-employment drug/alcohol screening and criminal background check.
