Job Summary:
The Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach supports all aspects of program. The Assistant Coach will help build and sustain a competitive program while fostering academic success, leadership, and personal growth among student-athletes.
Assist the Head Coach in planning and leading team practices, workouts, and player development sessions.
Teach basketball fundamentals, team systems, and offensive/defensive strategies.
Support game preparation through scouting, film breakdown, and opponent analysis.
Assist with game-day coaching, bench management, and in-game adjustments.
Promote strength, conditioning, and injury prevention for student-athletes.
Help identify, evaluate, and recruit prospective student-athletes who fit KVCC’s culture.
Build and maintain recruiting relationships with coaches across Maine and New England.
Support student-athlete academic success, retention, personal growth, and connection to campus resources.
Assist with program operations including travel, equipment, scheduling, and events/camps
Maintain compliance with institutional and athletic policies while fostering a professional, inclusive, and respectful team culture.
