American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Pulmonary/Thoracic Intermediate Care (Step-Down) position requiring a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience and night shift availability.

Work in a Pulmonary/Thoracic Intermediate Care (Step-Down) unit within a hospital setting
-
Patient population includes intermediate medical patients, high-risk respiratory, cardiac thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and head/neck surgery cases
-
Patients range from room air to BIPAP or Optiflow support
-
12-hour night shifts (7pm–7am), variable schedule
-
13-week contract
-
No on-call requirements

Active GA RN license or Compact RN license currently in hand

Required certifications: BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA)

NIHSS certification preferred

Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience in an intermediate care or step-down specialty

Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Driver's License required for consideration

Any time-off requests (RTO) must be disclosed upfront prior to offer acceptance

Former permanent staff returning as travelers must have a minimum 2-year break before being eligible

All AHA certifications must be current and unexpired at time of submission
