Qualifications:
- Valid SLI Certification required
- EIPA Score required
- Experience providing sign-to-voice and voice-to-sign interpreting in educational settings preferred
- Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with students, teachers, and staff
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive, supportive learning environment
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate communication between hard of hearing or deaf students, their classmates, and school staff using American Sign Language (ASL)
- Deliver accurate interpreting both in classroom instruction and during community or extracurricular activities
- Assist students academically in reading, writing, math, and support life or vocational skills development
- Monitor and support students throughout various school settings including classrooms and outdoor activities
- Adapt communication strategies as needed for age and learning levels
Enjoy consistent hours with 30 hours per week, Monday through Friday, and compensation starting at $40+ an hour, reflecting your EIPA score and experience.
