Double Your Income. Not Your Hours.
Most leasing jobs pay you the same whether you lease two apartments or twelve. This one doesn't.
E & E Capital Management is hiring a Leasing Agent for our Decatur multifamily community who wants their paycheck tied to their results. Our commission and incentive structure is built so that top performers earn roughly twice what a traditional leasing position pays — and there's no cap on it.
If you're a closer who's tired of being paid like a receptionist, keep reading.
What You'll Earn
- Base pay: $19.00 – $22.00 per hour, depending on experience
- Commission: On every lease you close
The Schedule — Straight Talk
Prospects tour when they're available, not when it's convenient for us. So:
- Saturdays are expected until you're consistently hitting goal, in addition to Monday–Friday.
- Weekday hours are flexible, as long as you're available for scheduled tours.
- The more calls, follow-ups, and outreach you put in early, the faster you earn back that flexibility.
We'd rather tell you this up front than have you find out in week two.
What You'll Do
Lease apartments
- Respond quickly and professionally to every prospect inquiry—phone, email, text, and walk-in
- Conduct engaging tours that sell the community, not just the floor plan
- Build genuine rapport, uncover what each prospect actually needs, and guide them to signature
- Follow up relentlessly and consistently until you get a yes or a no
Think like a strategist, not an order-taker
- Understand each lead's goals and tailor your approach and specials accordingly
- Turn prospect feedback into smarter offers and concessions
- Know your market comps cold so you can confidently explain how we stack up
Handle the details
- Prepare lease applications, agreements, renewals, and related documentation
- Maintain accurate prospect, traffic, and leasing activity records
- Track local market conditions, competitor pricing, and leasing trends
Drive traffic
- Execute marketing outreach, resident events, and online listing updates
- Partner with the property team to keep the community tour-ready
Stay compliant
- Follow all Fair Housing requirements, company policies, and applicable regulations

- Proficient in Microsoft Office and comfortable learning property management and CRM software

Is This You?
You may be a strong fit if you're competitive, energetic, persistent, and motivated by measurable results. You understand that leasing is more than showing apartments — it's building relationships, overcoming objections, following up when others quit, and confidently asking for the lease.
You take ownership. You do what you said you'd do. And you'd rather be paid for what you produce than for the hours you sit at a desk.
This is probably not the right role if you're looking for a predictable 9-to-5 with no weekend availability and no interest in commission-driven work. That's a completely valid preference — it's just not this job.
How to Apply
Apply today and tell us:
- Your best sales month ever—the numbers, and how you did it
- Your leasing or property management experience, if any
- Why you're confident you can help our community hit its occupancy goals
Applications that answer these three questions move to the top of our list.
