Under minimal supervision, perform advanced set ups and operate CNC (computer numerical controlled) machinery to manufacture metallic and non-metallic parts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (include the following however, other duties may apply.)

Performs all tasks in a safe and responsible manner.

Proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints.

Properly and safely loads and unloads castings and raw materials.

Proficient understanding of measuring instruments.

Uses gages and measuring instruments to meet tolerance requirements.

Ability to power on, perform advanced set ups (complex parts or new programs) and operate CNC lathes or mills with minimal assistance.

Must be proficient with FANUC controls.

Must have ability to recognize, understand and properly use cutting tools.

Properly identifies use of inserts, grades, chip formers, fixtures and tooling.

Understands and has the ability to perform geometrytool wear offsets and program edits including tool path changes when necessary to improve the program and maintain blueprint dimensions.

Performs daily and regular cleaning and light maintenance tasks on CNC machinery.

Proficient at understanding and have the ability to follow all manufacturing processes and procedures with the ability to train or coach co-workers on these processes.

Utilizes and abides by all ISO requirements and safety procedures.

Is flexible with time and schedule to assure availability to customer or company as circumstances warrant.
