Job Overview
10 Stars Property Management is hiring an experienced Residential Maintenance Technician / Handyman to join our growing property management team.
We are seeking a dependable, skilled, and motivated maintenance professional with hands-on experience in residential repairs, apartment maintenance, rental property maintenance, home renovations, construction, and general handyman services.
The ideal candidate takes pride in quality workmanship, communicates professionally, works efficiently, and can independently diagnose and complete a wide variety of residential maintenance repairs.
Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance and repair work at occupied and vacant rental properties
- Perform plumbing repairs, including faucets, toilets, drains, supply lines, and fixture replacements
- Troubleshoot and complete basic electrical repairs involving outlets, switches, lighting fixtures, ceiling fans, and breakers
- Repair drywall, patch holes, complete texture work, and perform interior painting
- Install and repair vinyl plank flooring, laminate flooring, baseboards, doors, trim, and cabinetry
- Complete carpentry, hardware, appliance, and general handyman repairs
- Prepare rental homes for new tenants by completing punch-list and rent-ready repairs
- Inspect and diagnose maintenance issues and recommend appropriate repair solutions
- Complete work orders accurately, efficiently, and within assigned deadlines
- Document completed repairs with notes, photographs, and material information
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas
- Communicate professionally with tenants, property managers, vendors, and team members
- Follow company procedures and provide excellent customer service
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in residential maintenance, apartment maintenance, property maintenance, handyman services, construction, remodeling, or home renovation
- Strong working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, drywall, painting, carpentry, flooring, and fixture installation
- Ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues and complete repairs independently
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must own basic hand and power tools
- Ability to lift, carry, and move materials, tools, and equipment
- Strong communication, organization, and customer service skills
- Dependable attendance and ability to manage multiple work orders
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous property management or apartment maintenance experience
- Experience completing rental property turnovers and rent-ready repairs
- Experience with residential remodeling or renovation projects
- Leadership, crew supervision, or maintenance team experience
- Broad knowledge of residential building systems and repair techniques
