We are seeking a detail-oriented, technically minded Cabinet Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This position serves as the critical link between customer orders and production by ensuring every project is engineered accurately, optimized for manufacturing, and ready for efficient production.
Position Summary
The Cabinet Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for engineering and optimizing cabinet projects using Cabinet Vision software, ordering job-specific components, supporting customers and internal departments with technical expertise, and ensuring every project moves efficiently from order entry through manufacturing.
Primary ResponsibilitiesManufacturing Engineering
- Engineer cabinet projects using Cabinet Vision.
- Optimize and nest jobs for automated CNC manufacturing equipment.
- Verify cabinet construction meets company standards and manufacturing capabilities.
- Review orders for completeness, accuracy, and manufacturability.
- Communicate engineering changes and special requirements to the production team.
Materials & Purchasing
- Order job-specific components, including doors, drawer boxes, hardware, accessories, and specialty items.
- Verify purchased components match project specifications and production schedules.
Customer & Technical Support
- Work closely with customers by phone and email to ensure orders are complete and accurate.
- Provide technical assistance regarding products, Cabinet Vision, ordering procedures, and manufacturing requirements.
- Answer product questions and guide customers through the quotation and order process.
- Help customers adapt their designs to meet manufacturing requirements while preserving design intent.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Sales, Customer Service, Purchasing, and Production to ensure projects move efficiently through manufacturing.
- Assist production personnel in resolving technical questions as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve engineering accuracy, manufacturing efficiency, and workflow.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of three years of experience in cabinet design, engineering, manufacturing, or installation.
- Strong understanding of frameless cabinet construction methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects while meeting deadlines.
- Self-motivated with strong problem-solving skills.
- Experience using Cabinet Vision or similar cabinet engineering and optimization software.
- Experience with CNC manufacturing environments.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Experience working directly with cabinet dealers, designers, or contractors.

Physical Requirements
This position is primarily office-based and requires prolonged periods of sitting while working at a computer, reviewing drawings, and communicating by phone and email. Occasional visits to the manufacturing floor may be required to review projects or assist with production-related questions.
