Job Summary
Pinnacle Surgical Care of Austin is a newly built ambulatory surgery center. We are a multispecialty center with three surgical suites. Our business hours are Monday - Friday 6/6:30am- 5:00pm
Responsibilities
- Assist circulating/OR RN with sterile supplies.
- Adequately prepare for each operative procedure in advance according to surgeons' preferences.
- Assist surgeons as ORT according to prescribed standards.
- Scrub, gown and glove in accordance with performance standards.
- Maintain and prepare table, instruments and supplies according to the type of procedure and surgeon.
- Assist and anticipate the needs of the surgeons.
- Maintain correct count of sponges and needles in coordination with the circulating RN.
- Maintain aseptic technique at all times as dictated by accepted standards.
- Assist in maintenance and care of specimens.
- Assist in application of dressings, and in transportation of patients.
- Decontaminate all equipment, instruments, and supplies.
- Clean room as directed in procedure.
- Compile and makes available all necessary supplies needed for each procedure.
- Maintain awareness of safety hazards and use of equipment to prevent damage or harm to personnel or patients.
- Assist in inventory of supplies and equipment to assure availability and maintain set level and notifies Materials Manager to reorder.
- Maintain knowledge of inventory organization.
Education:
- Must have completed high school or equivalent.
- Completion of Operating Room Technologist/Surgical Technologist training program with appropriate certification highly preferred, but not required.

Pay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hour
