Rehabilitation Aide Duties
Present resident status report to the Inter Disciplinary Team and assist the team in revising the resident care plan accordingly.
Report all incidents or changes in resident condition to the charge nurse.
Always respect the residents’ privacy and confidentiality. Refer all questions regarding resident status to the charge nurse on duty and all questions regarding care center operation to the rehab director or the administrator.
Be responsible for the care and maintenance of all resident care equipment and supplies, including but not limited to wheelchairs, walkers, canes, crutches, weights, mats and exercising equipment. Ensure that all therapy equipment is in good condition and ready for use.
- Thoroughly familiarize self with Fire/Disaster procedures as well as all resident care procedures in use in the care center.
Restocking supplies and reorder appropriate supplies when needed.
Assist Physical, Occupational, Speech in their daily activities as requested.
Help with Therapy treatment as requested under the supervisor of therapist.
Prepare and clean therapy gyms before and after therapy sessions.
Adhere to all Healthcare requirements and Safety standards.
Education and Experience
- Previous experience as a CNA Team Leader and/or experience in working with geriatric residents is preferred and may be required.
Language Skills
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English sufficiently to perform required duties.
- Must be able to understand and implement the plan of care and assess resident needs.
- Must be able to follow verbal and written instructions.
Certificates, Licenses and Registrations
- Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant as required by state and federal law.
- Must complete orientation required by company policy.
- Must complete health screening and TB test (if required) within two weeks of employment.
- Must complete a mandatory drug test within 90 days of hire.
- Must be free of criminal activity proven by a criminal background check.
- Must become familiar with and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations relating to the job.
- Must show, within 3 days of hire, satisfactory evidence of identity and eligibility for employment.
