Position: Wholesale Delivery Driver
Reports To: Bakery Supervisor / Operations Manager
Position Summary
The Wholesale Delivery Driver is responsible for ensuring bakery products are delivered accurately, safely, and on time to all wholesale customers. This position plays a vital role in representing the bakery by providing dependable service, maintaining accurate delivery records, managing reusable trays, and communicating effectively with management regarding delivery updates, concerns, or customer issues.
Key ResponsibilitiesOrder Loading & Verification
- Load all delivery orders into the vehicle according to the daily delivery schedule.
- Verify each order for accuracy before leaving the bakery, including products, quantities, invoices, and customer destinations.
- Ensure products are properly secured to prevent damage during transportation.
- Notify management immediately of any missing items or discrepancies before departure.
Delivery Operations
- Deliver wholesale orders safely, professionally, and on schedule.
- Follow assigned delivery routes while maintaining efficient time management.
- Ensure deliveries arrive within scheduled delivery windows.
- Verify each order with the customer upon delivery.
- Maintain a courteous and professional attitude while representing the bakery.
Tray & Equipment Accountability
- Track all bakery trays, racks, and reusable delivery equipment leaving and returning to the bakery.
- Collect empty trays and equipment from customers during deliveries when applicable.
- Accurately record tray counts for each customer.
- Report missing or damaged trays and equipment to management immediately.
Documentation
- Ensure invoices and delivery paperwork are accurate and organized.
- Obtain required signatures or delivery confirmations when necessary.
- Return all completed invoices and paperwork to the appropriate location upon returning to the bakery.
- Maintain accurate delivery records throughout each route.
Communication
- Maintain regular communication with management throughout the delivery route.
- Immediately report traffic delays, vehicle issues, customer concerns, delivery changes, or product shortages.
- Communicate any customer feedback or special requests received during deliveries.
- Notify management of any accidents, damaged products, or safety concerns immediately.
Vehicle Care & Safety
- Operate company vehicles safely and responsibly at all times.
- Perform daily vehicle inspections before and after each route.
- Keep delivery vehicles clean, organized, and fueled.
- Report maintenance needs or mechanical problems promptly.
- Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies.
Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Previous delivery or route driving experience preferred.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.

- Completes all invoices and delivery paperwork accurately and returns them promptly.
- Communicates proactively with management regarding delays, customer issues, or route changes.
- Maintains a clean vehicle and follows all company safety procedures.
- Represents the bakery with professionalism, reliability, and excellent customer service.

Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
