Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Auto Body Prepper / Detailer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing vehicles for repair or painting, ensuring surfaces are smooth and ready for finishing touches. You will also perform thorough cleaning and detailing to restore vehicles to their optimal condition. Duties
- Prepare vehicles by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces to ensure optimal paint adhesion and finish quality
- Use hand tools, power tools, and paint spraying equipment to apply paint, primer, or protective coatings with precision
- Conduct auto detailing including buffing, polishing, vacuuming, and cleaning interior and exterior surfaces for a pristine appearance
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Support vehicle inspection processes by identifying necessary repairs or touch-ups
Experience
- Experience or background working in an auto body shop is highly preferred
- Proven experience with auto body repair techniques including welding, paint prep, and buffing s
- Familiarity with auto estimating processes and customer service practices is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently during vehicle prep or restoration tasks
- Shop experience or automotive technical training will be considered an asset
