The Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC) is dedicated to preventing environmental causes of breast cancer through community education, research advocacy, and changes to public policy.
About the Internship:
MBCC is seeking an Event Intern to join our team for 1 full year from July 2026 to July 2027 to help with our annual fundraising for our LGBTQIA+ Dance Event in October 2026 and our Against the Tide Event in June 2027.
The internship offers a work-from-home structure, with phone and internet as the primary communication tools. As an intern, you will work closely with our team to support the planning and execution of nonprofit fundraising events. This internship provides hands-on experience in event management, communications, outreach, social media, and database management.
Qualifications:
College or Graduate students with a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines independently
Proficiency in social media platforms, Excel, and/or Google Sheets
Enthusiastic, self-motivated, and a team player
Passion for the mission of MBCC
Requirements:
At least 15 morning hours per week
Attendance at both Against the Tide events as a pro-bono volunteer
Compensation:
Academic credit or volunteer-based experience
This position will run from January 2026 through July 2026 with the opportunity to continue longer if desired.
