Position: Discovery Paralegal
Reason for Hiring: We continue to expand rapidly, and our diligent Litigation team is seeking a highly motivated Discovery Paralegal to join us. As a Discovery Paralegal, you will play a crucial role in supporting our attorneys throughout the discovery process. This position offers a unique opportunity to work in a dynamic legal environment and contribute to achieving justice for our clients.
Responsibilities:
- Assisting attorneys in drafting and responding to discovery requests, including interrogatories, requests for production, and requests for admission.
- Reviewing, organizing, and summarizing documents and records related to ongoing cases.
- Conducting legal research to support case preparation.
- Assisting with case management, including maintaining calendars, tracking deadlines, and managing documents.
- Preparing and filing legal documents with courts as needed.
- Collaborating with attorneys, clients, and opposing counsel in a professional and effective manner.
- Maintaining confidentiality of sensitive client information.
Requirement:
- 1 year of discovery experience in civil litigation.
Qualifications:
- Paralegal certificate preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in legal research and the use of legal research tools.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal software applications.
