Overview
We are looking for someone to join our engineering team to assist with creating routing and inspection reports with the intent to move into more of an actual engineering roll. That would consist of creating models and prints using Solidworks and then using Mastercam to do the programming on Mills and Lathes. This would be a great opportunity for someone looking to get more into the engineering field with a chance to learn a lot. We are looking for someone who is passionate about what they do, has attention to detail and the desire to learn and grow.
Duties
- Assist with creating and verifying routing for new and existing jobs.
- Assist with creating inspection reports and verifying existing ones are correct when orders are released.
- Create 3D models and 2D prints for new and existing jobs using Solidworks software.
- Create programs for lathes and mills using Mastercam software.
- Post out programs using Cimco software.
- Help design and create fixtures as needed for new jobs.
- Verify older programs have been updated to use the most up to date tooling and inserts.
- Support the shop with any issues that may come up.
- Assist with estimating cycle times for sales to quote new orders.
Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical or Industrial engineering would be preferred but not required.
- Ability to read a blue print and understanding GD&T's.
- Knowledge of Excel is required.
- Knowledge of Solidworks and/or Mastercam is a plus but not required.
- Background in machining is preferred but not required.
- Ability to learn, work well with others and take constructive criticism to help advance your career.
Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
