Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled CDL Class A Driver/Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating tractor-trailers and various specialized trucks to transport equipment efficiently across designated routes. This role requires a professional with strong driving skills, experience with different trailer types, and the ability to load and unload cargo as needed. The Driver/Operator will play a vital role in ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining safety and compliance with all transportation regulations.
Duties
- Safely operate tractor-trailers, including flatbeds, dump trucks and trailers, and moving equipment.
- Drive route-specific deliveries, ensuring timely arrival at designated locations.
- Load and unload equipment.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with DOT regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, cargo documentation, and delivery records.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies during operations.
- Assist with securing loads and verifying cargo for damage or discrepancies before departure.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues that arise during routes.
Experience
- Proven experience in truck driving, particularly with commercial vehicles such as tractor-trailers or flatbeds.
- Experience operating flatbed trailers and dump trucks/trailers is a plus.
- Delivery driver experience involving equipment handling and route driving is highly desirable.
- Prior experience in load & unload operations is beneficial.
- Candidates should possess a valid CDL Class A license with a clean driving record and relevant endorsements as required by the type of vehicle operated. Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
