Overview
Join our dedicated healthcare team as a Certified Medication Aide, where your expertise will directly impact the quality of life for residents in an assisted living community. In this vital role, you will administer medications, monitor patient health, and provide compassionate support to individuals with diverse needs, including those with dementia, Alzheimer's, or other chronic conditions. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure safe medication practices and promote overall well-being for those under your care.
Duties
- Safely administer prescribed medications to residents following all HIPAA regulations and medical documentation standards.
- Monitor and record vital signs, medication effects, and patient responses using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including mobility support, tube feeding, catheter care, and other personal care tasks.
- Observe and report changes in physical or mental health status to a licensed nurse.
- Maintain accurate medical records, document medication administration, and ensure compliance with all healthcare protocols.
- Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare providers to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Support residents’ emotional well-being through compassionate caregiving and engaging communication.
Experience
- MUST have an active Kansas Certified Medication Aide license.
Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
