WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
As a Refurbishment Technician, you’ll take aging fire apparatus and rescue vehicles and bring them back to life. Your work will include:
- Diagnosing, repairing, and refurbishing fire apparatus and emergency vehicles
- Rebuilding and restoring components on automotive, medium- and heavy-duty trucks
- Servicing Fire Division and EMS Division vehicles
- Working with small gas engines and related equipment
- Ensuring all completed work meets reliability, safety, and quality standards
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- A self-starter with a steady, solutions-driven mindset
- Experience with diesel engines (preferred)
- Valid CDL-B with Air Brakes, or willingness to obtain within the first year
- Knowledge of current repair and refurbishment practices for trucks and emergency vehicles
- ASE and/or EVT certifications are a plus
HOURS & COMPENSATION
Full-time, Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Starting rate: $25–$35/hr, based on experience and certifications
