Winding Branch Ranch is seeking an Operations Manager to help lead the day-to-day operations of our growing nonprofit agricultural resource center and livestock sanctuary. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys managing people, solving problems, building systems and bringing ideas to life.
The Operations Manager will oversee volunteers, seasonal staff, retail operations, special events and the annual Pumpkin Patch while helping ensure the organization runs smoothly year-round.
Responsibilities
- Lead planning and execution of the annual Pumpkin Patch
- Recruit, hire, train and supervise seasonal and year-round staff
- Manage a volunteer program of approximately 250 volunteers annually
- Coordinate volunteer orientations, scheduling, background checks and hour tracking
- Oversee operations for Common Goods, the Farm Stand and Farmers Market
- Manage inventory, purchasing, vendor relationships and sales reporting
- Coordinate logistics for public programs, fundraisers and special events
- Support sponsorship fulfillment and donor engagement efforts
- Work closely with the marketing team to ensure promotion of events, programs and the Pumpkin Patch
- Manage POS systems and operational technology
- Utilize Outlook, Monday.com, Google Drive, SignUpGenius, CRM platforms and related software
- Develop systems and processes that improve efficiency and guest experience
- Represent Winding Branch Ranch at select community events and outreach opportunities
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
- Comfortable managing multiple projects simultaneously
- Technology-savvy and able to learn new software quickly
- Familiarity with social media platforms and marketing coordination
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Comfortable working outdoors during events and Pumpkin Patch season
Schedule
August 3 – September 14
- Tuesday–Friday, 9:00 AM–3:00 PM
September 15 – November 1 (Pumpkin Patch Season)
- Tuesday–Thursday, 12:00 PM–6:00 PM
- Friday, 8:00 AM–4:00 PM
- Saturday & Sunday, 8:00 AM–2:00 PM
Beginning November 2
- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–4:00 PM
Additional evening hours may occasionally be required for special events, volunteer activities and community outreach opportunities.
