Position Summary
Schedule: Hybrid schedule available after 90 days on assignment
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist II is responsible for supplier market research, supplier evaluation, and obtaining documentation required for solicitation efforts, including drawings, scorecards, and historical purchasing data. This role supports the completion of compliant FAR 15 subcontract packages and partners closely with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with program requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute FAR 15 subcontracts in accordance with FAR, DFARS, and other applicable regulations.
- Conduct supplier market research and evaluate supplier information to identify the most qualified suppliers.
- Obtain and manage solicitation documentation, including:
- Drawings
- Supplier scorecards
- Historical purchase data
- Support subcontract negotiations, including:
- Pricing
Terms and conditions
- Manage key program suppliers and supplier relationships.
- Develop supplier strategies that deliver the best overall value to.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure procurement compliance and program success.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 3 years of experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Procurement
- Supply Chain
- Contracts & Legal (L&C)
- Business
- Finance
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree.
- DoD procurement subcontracting experience with FAR 15.
- Strong understanding of the DoD Procurement Life Cycle.
Experience with:
- Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFARS)
- Strong negotiation skills and negotiation processes.
- Supply chain experience.
Procurement experience within:
- Defense
- Aerospace
- Similar regulated industries
- Experience managing various subcontract types, including:
- FFP (Firm Fixed Price)
- CP (Cost Plus)
- CPIF (Cost Plus Incentive Fee)
- Experience with Truthful Cost or Pricing Data (TCPD).
- Ability to understand, evaluate, and negotiate contract terms and conditions.
