The Grocer’s Table is a market, café and bar in downtown Wayzata open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and shares a kitchen with our sister restaurant, Eloise, a fine dining establishment serving dinner only. Tues-Sunday. We're seeking a dynamic leader to help manage the kitchen and back of house operations as well as expo under the direction of our Executive Chef and Chef de Cuisine. The service style at Grocer's is fast-casual during the day with a rustic, seasonal and fresh farmhouse approach to the food and full-service in the evenings. A considerable bakery program as well as a substantial prepared food selection and grab-n-go yields a prep heavy focus. At Eloise, we offer an a la carte dinner menu with a seasonal approach and elevated versions of classic dishes.
Schedule: Full time, Tues OR Wed thru Sunday 1pm to close
Intended Start Date: Immediate
Salary: $60-65K
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Helping oversee inventory and ordering of food & supplies
· Willing to manage the kitchen with a "hands on" approach
. Some time spent on expo, prep, line cooking, creation of specials, etc
Requirements:
· Strong knowledge of back of the house operations including food, staff supervision, inventory, and food safety
· True passion for food and hospitality
· Strong interpersonal and conflict resolution skills
· Work days, nights, and/or weekends as required; Move about facility and stand for long periods
· Stable and progressive work history; Strong work ethic
